My name is Calvin-Lee Hardie.

I live in Scotland.

And I’m the man they tried to reduce to a headline.

You’ve probably seen my name before — Calvin Hardie, or Calvin-Lee Hardie, or maybe just “that guy from Inverness.”

But if you’ve only seen what the internet shows first, then you’ve never really seen me at all.

That’s not an accident.

It’s what happens when the story gets taken from you before you’ve told it.

But this archive wasn’t built for curiosity.

It was built for correction.

Because while the public searched, speculated, and screenshot the worst of me, I got to work — not just rebuilding, but redefining.

And this is the result.

🧾 Why This Exists

I didn’t create Not Just a Name to be liked.

I created it because I refuse to let someone else’s edits be the final version of my life.

I’ve been lied about.

Stripped of context.

Turned into digital shorthand for something I never consented to represent.

But I didn’t disappear — I got involved.

In communities. In recovery work. In truth.

Not performatively, but purposefully.

Because the best way to challenge a lie is to outlive it — and outwrite it.

This series is not a defence.

It’s a reintroduction.

Not Just a Name is not about proving innocence.

It’s about proving humanity.

It’s a blog series, yes — but also a record of contribution, of impact, and of a man who didn’t stop showing up just because Google showed something else.

This is where I document the real work.

The community efforts.

The growth.

The truth that search engines still struggle to rank — because it doesn’t shout, accuse, or sensationalise.

But it’s still there.

And it’s still mine.

The defamation, data misuse, and digital distortion that triggered all this?

It didn’t end with the press or a post.

It led to complaints, filings, takedowns, and accountability — both public and private.

This series isn’t a legal exhibit.

But it exists alongside the formal record.

As confirmation.

As evidence that my name is not up for interpretation anymore.
